From the ashes – Natives win the 1912 BRL title
The 1912 BRL season is now live on Redcap’s BRL.
See how Natives – a team pieced together from misfits, malcontents and troublemakers, mostly from foundation Norths with a little bit of Souths and Toombul – dominated rugby league in Brisbane for one glorious year.
It all fell apart, of course, but it was a pretty remarkable rise.
The 1912 season is probably the murkiest of the long-lost BRL seasons. Redcap’s BRL includes details not previously compiled anywhere else – not even by Steve Haddan.
