Brisbane Rugby League 1976, Playoffs for Fifth
Wynnum-Manly, Souths and Valleys finished in a three-way for fifth position. The BRL’s by-laws stipulated that no team could be eliminated from the finals on for-and-against. Two playoffs would therefore decide fifth position. The second and third ranked teams, South and Valleys, played the first, with the winner meeting the first-ranked Wynnum-Manly in the final playoff.
